Autumn Mindfulness Course with Sally Lander

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction started at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre in 1979. It can help you relax and thrive, learning to recognise, understand and respond better to your life’s stresses and joys. Research shows it can help many issues, such as anxiety and panic attacks; work, family and financial stress; grief; headaches; depression; pain; fatigue; sleep problems. The course is suitable for people of all beliefs and none.

Practice and embody Mindfulness through sitting, walking and lying meditation, mindful movement, discussion, and attention to everyday experience – paying attention non-judgementally to experience in the present moment. After the introductory session I’ll phone and if it’s not for you at the moment you can have a full refund or book onto a course next year. There is home practice of up to one hour six days a week to practice (I’ll provide recordings), to notice your experiences and to take a few notes about them.

Autumn’s course will be on Tuesday afternoons, from 3pm to 5.20pm, from 25th September to 27th November. There will also be a day of practice on Sunday 18th November, from 10am-4pm.

It takes place at the Friends Meeting House, 91-93 Hartington Grove. Cost is £250, which includes nine classes, full day and written and audio materials. Contct Sally for more details here.
