Cross City Cycling is part of City Deal investment to bridge gaps in the city’s cycle network. It consists of five projects to boost and improve cycling across Cambridge. The five projects are spread across the north, east and south of Cambridge and are key links to cycle routes across the city, as well as to shops, schools and employment sites. Almost half of the residents in Cambridge city centre cycle at least once a week, and each project will benefit residents, students or commuters, further building upon the city’s reputation as the UK’s cycling capital.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the pre-construction information events being held this month on the Hills Road and Addenbrooke’s Route, construction of which is due to start in the coming months. This first drop in event is at Addenbrooke’s Concourse on 17th January from 12noon to 2pm.
