A beginner to intermediate level three day course exploring wines and spirits for enthusiasts or those working in the industry.
You will learn how wine is made, what influences wine style, the key white and black grape varieties and their characteristics, the important wine-producing regions of the world and where these grape varieties are grown, the production of sparkling, sweet and fortified wines, labelling terms, food and wine pairing principles, how to describe wine using the WSET systematic Approach to tasting wine, the principal categories of spirits & liqueurs and how they are made.
There is a 50 question multiple choice exam at the end of day three. Successful candidates receive a certificate and an internationally recognised wine qualification.
