A message from Cambridge City 4 Primary Care Network @ Cornford House Surgery
REQUEST FOR VOLUNTEERS
Thank you for considering to offer your time to help with this historic COVID-19 vaccination programme. The vaccination clinic is operating out of Cornford House Surgery on Cherry Hinton Road. Over 100 local volunteers have been playing a key role in this community effort and we hope that they are finding it an uplifting experience. Only short on-the-day training is required for these roles.
The roles:
- Car Park Attendant (outside) – working in a team to greet patients, direct to suitable parking space and manage traffic flow (you may be asked to push wheelchairs) – so you will need to be active and like talking to people.
- Meet and Greet (inside/outside) – working in a team to ensure patients’ welfare from arrival to receiving the vaccination – so you will need to be active and like talking to people.
- Clinical Observation (inside) – working in a team to ensure patient’s welfare after vaccination, including the 15 minute observation period – so you will need to be active, like talking to people and have some caring experience. You will be supported by a health professional.
We have a few additional vacancies for volunteer support coming up, on the following dates:
- Wednesday 7th April
- Thursday 8th April
- Friday 9th April
Once you have submitted your details through the form below, we will send you further details. Please note that we cannot guarantee being able to accommodate your offer, but it’s very gratefully received! We will get in touch in the next few days.
